Well guys, it's been a couple of days since I posted so I thought I should explain....

I have been rather busy trying to solve a very BIG problem I discovered 2 nights ago. I discovered that my current web hoster were experiencing difficulties in providing the auction site with continued service. The site actually went down during testing several times, completely unrelated to our usage. Host Papa refused to accept responsibility and actually had the nerve to argue with me about what "unlimited bandwidth" and "unlimited storage space" meant in my hosting contract. The simple answer is, unlimited doesn't mean unlimited at all and I am unimpressed with their lack of up front honesty.

I have now decided I can't be bothered with sharing web hosting like others tend to do, so I have now organised a top of the line, fully managed, and completely private server which will be purely dedicated to our auction site *imagine me giving Host Papa the finger right about now*

I'm simply not prepared to suffer as Guru have suffered in the hands of webhosters. I have had to involve my developers in giving me advice, putting out an invitation for bid ...reviewing bids...making a decision...and booking the new server build. So! Now you know why I've been rather quiet for 2 days, it's been hell and right now I want a long bath then my bed

The existing auction site will be fully migrated in it's current form to the new server early next week by the dev team. They will remove everyone's access prior to this, so don't panic if the site suddenly vanishes. The primary domain will change slightly, however I will announce when it is ready for some more sneaky access

Oh... That is a big floor in the site.... *please forgive me for saying this* but... FUCK YOU Host Papa!! them godamn nigles need to get a dictonary and then they can look up the word idiot... then they will see a pic of them selves next to it XD

Guys, I know this is a huge favour to ask but I need a couple of things tested. The Devs have built some more things and I need to see that they work:

1. They have made it so that no user can register the same character name as another user. Character name should now be unique, so we should check to see if it is. If you get an error message when you try to create a new account with a different email address but using the character name on your original registered account.....then it works!
   
2. Apparently they have made a modification to the voting section which should now prevent people from swearing in their votes. When you view a listing, there is a link in the bottom right hand corner area that says "vote on this listing". Use that link, fill in the voting form and leave some nasty comments on a random listing If you go back and view your vote against the listing (link in the bottom right section of the listing page saying "view votes" or something). If the filter removed your swear words then it is working!! If not....we still have a problem.

I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone, but I have changed the go-live date to 21 June 2008 in the original post. I'm confident that this will be enough time to transfer things across to the new server and settle in. Fingers crossed!

I will go test a little later on today. Just for now Bunny, dno if you are already on it, but maybe you want to have the announcement on the front page of [KISS] website changed, cuz it says 14-06

Yeah I noticed that Pepper. I didn't make the announcement so I assume it's something James needs to change. I spoke to James on vent about the delay last night so I assume he'll change it when he gets the time.
