No, bids are not accepted at 0, I tried that earlier.

What is accepted is this: If a seller places a listing and has their starting bid set at 0 gold, and you place a bid on it for 5 gold, the system will place your first bid for you at 0 gold (the minimum price the seller asked for). When someone else comes along and bids, say, 3 gold....the system will automatically place a bid of 4 gold on your behalf (because you said your maximum price was 5 gold when you placed your bid).

This isn't the kind of bidding system where you place a bid and it immediately shows up against the item. The system has an inbuilt auto-bidding system. It is explained in words underneath the button saying "PLACE BID". I intend to add this to the FAQ section to make it clearer.....I don't think people understand it.

At the end of the day....the only way you can place a bid for 0 is if the seller said their starting required bid is zero. If the seller is stupid enough to want to list their item for free, then it's tough

Well I found a glitch whilst fighting over Rommel It's not bound to happen I think (although there are people who are really rich in the game I guess ).

I was bidding at Rommel http://www.guildwarsauctions.co.uk/index.php?a=2&b=171 and at that moment the highest bid was 10,000,001 from owned. So I tried to bid 100,000,000 (what I assume is the maximum bid) but I got an error saying "I'm sorry the bid you entered contained unrecognisable data. Please reenter it" (sometimes I get this error bidding 100,000,000, sometimes not). So I bid 99,999,999 and as you can see the bid worked and owned automatically overbid me with 100,000,000. But I didn't see that and made a new bid: 50,000,000 gold. And as you can see in the following pictures something went wrong there. Cuz then owned still was listed as the highest bidder, but the minimum bid is the bid to overbid my bid, not the one from owned.





BTW: I found a glitch to overbid owned with the same amount, but I will only explain you after we got Rommel

That's great stuff matey! The unrecognisable data error relates to the bug named at #8 found by Karnor yesterday. As you can see from the updated list, the error with using comma's hasn't been fixed yet.

As for your being able to bid 50,000 after someone else already had an auto-bid of 100,000.....that's just creazy. I'll raise it with the dev team immediately.

Question 1: does this have virous control because u can test it by making a fake viros which will reset everything back to how it was before you sent the virous after about 30 mins
Question2: does it have pople control becasue if loads of people open website at same time it mitght spike it

lol Nick, the server and the site are both protected against viruses, DoS, and SrS. We can only see how good the protection is as time goes on or if people give it a good thrashing during testing

edit: after about 3-5 mins they disapeard

the bug about the time before listing expires email just got it again and the item expired in 1 day

It's not a bug Nick, it's a user preference. I have set it to 6 hours, not one day. I just got a reminder too because 1 of my listings expire in 6 hours. I don't think that's unreasonable, do you?

yer but i just list a white rabbit for 1 day and got the email less than 5 mins after putting it up
thats why i said it because i thought it was set to 6 hours

when 1 of your bids expires it stays on the for sale area u have to delite it manuly

I don't understand what you mean Nick, why would you delete something you were bidding on?

no no no you know when what your selling expire time runs out instead of automaticly deleting its self it stay on the section with the 1s which are still running

I also bought a thing, but then I wasn't given the person's IGN. Is there something the tells you theirIGN after you buy and I'm not seeing it?

username CAN be used as a password atm.
you CAN have swearwords in a user name.

1. Good spotting, I have added a sub section under Miscellaneous for Unidentified Items.

2. An email is automatically sent to you (at the email you registered with) to tell you the person's in game name and their contact email address.
